This project explores whether artificial intelligence can write love letters that feel emotional and poetic. To investigate this,I conducted an experiment using a fine-tuned GPT-2 model trained on a dataset of love poems and letters written by various niche authors.
The goal was for the model to learn different writing styles and expressions of love. After training, the AI generated love letters in the form of poems. The objective was to examine whether AI can imitate human emotion and romantic expression through language. However, the results showed significant limitations. Instead of producing deeply original or emotionally nuanced content, the model often relied on repetitive patterns and occasionally reproduced phrases similar to those in its training data. Overall, the experiment suggests that while AI can mimic the structure and style of romantic writing, it still struggles to capture the depth, originality, and authentic emotional complexity typically found in human-written love letters.
P.S. Note on AI usage: I see AI not as something that should take over the creative process, but simply as a tool to experiment with, explore ideas, and play with possibilities. At the end of the day, nothing can replace or overpower human creativity.
